How can I get a Small Society Lottery Licence?
A lottery licence is acquired from your local council. If you're not sure which one that is, you can use our postcode checker.

How much does a lottery licence cost?
A lottery licence is £40 for a new one, and £20 to renew annually.
How often do I need to submit my lottery returns?
Councils ask for the lottery returns every 3 months. We will generate lottery returns for you every 8 weeks, so you will always be ahead. Once you have the lottery return, just check, sign and send it to your local council.
Who do I send the lottery returns to?
There is an address on your return form, but you can check if the council will accept them by email
What happens if the lottery licence lapses?
If this happens, please contact the council straight away. They may ask that your lottery is placed on hold whilst you re-register. If this is the case, please let us know and we can arrange this for you.
Who should sign the lottery returns?
The lottery returns can usually be signed by people of authority within the society. For further clarification, please check with the council.
Why don't my payments match the lottery return?
Your payments will not match the lottery return because we pay ticket proceeds monthly, but your lottery return is generated every 8 weeks. You can compare the lottery return detail with the payments breakdown if you wish to check the figures.
